Shut Up!
As part of their reply, in rejecting the criticism, they refer to the absolute privilege they were entitled to if they had chosen to make their disclosures in the Dail. They make the point they did not avail of this (on the basis that it might have been an abuse of the privilege).
Identity
Possibly, identity is not coincidental with the person. A person may have several âidentitiesâ?. Some commentators deny that âidentity theftâ? is possible. In their view, what happens is the deception of a person or persons other than the person whose âidentityâ? was stolen.

With regard to the tort of negligence, road traffic accidents are exceptional. They are exceptional because they conceal the fact that, often, the factual cause of an event is not discovered.

The MIBI was not mentioned specifically in the 2003 Act, hence the doubt. The judgment makes sense; anything else would have been an anomaly. Indeed, in a very real sense the 2003 Act was intended to apply to the MIBI more than anyone or anything else; they are the insurance industry.

Ambulance Chasing: a corporal work of mercy?
There is need for a new charity to be established in Ireland. It will seek out people suffering personal injury. It will advise that the injured person (âthe victimâ?) should immediately consult a solicitor to determine whether there is a cause of action arising from the incident in which the victim was injured.
Back Injury
The Minister did make specific provision by regulation for the duties of employers to avoid injury to employees in the lifting of weights and loads.
